I’ll give you an A+ if you help me with my RSS feed!

If someone could tell me how to set up the RSS feed, that would be great. I thought I set it up, but a commenter said they’re having difficulty. Please let me know how to do it in the comments. Thanks!

  1. I'm not sure what difficulty your commenter is having, but I've been reading via RSS just fine for several days.

I used the link "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)" at the bottom of the main page to http://fedupwithschoollunch.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default and subscribed to that.

Very much enjoying reading along. A lot of the food you're eating reminds me, not surprisingly, of some of what I ate in grade school. But that was a LONG time ago. We should be doing better.

  2. I just accessed it through your RSS feed. You shouldn't have to do anything- Blogger takes care of that kind of thing.

  3. Your RSS feed is fine; blogspot should create one for you automatically. I just added your feed to Google Reader today and everything looks great.

  4. Agreed. I've been viewing on RSS feed for several days now with no problems.

If the commenter with a problem is using Google Reader, there's always the option to just copy/paste the site URL into the "Add Subscription" field in the upper left corner.

  5. The only question anyone ever brought up in my Blogger RSS feed was when I had the feed syndicates set to Short. If you haven't mucked around in your blog's settings, it defaults to Full, but if you want to check…

From your Dashboard, under your blog's name select the Settings link. Click on the Site Feed tab and check to ensure "Allow Blog Feeds" is set to Full. If not, click that drop-down menu and select Full, confirm with Save Settings at the bottom.

On the other hand, if one person's having problems and nobody else is having problems, it's likely an issue on their end.

  6. Beware, sometimes spammers try to get into your sight with an initial question (like about your RSS feed). Once you have approved their address, they'll post all kinds of spam links. if the comment seems to general and isn't about school lunches or some related topic, you can choose to block them.

  7. I believe you can edit your settings and add a widget for "subscribe to RSS." Someone just sent me a link to this site and it's very interesting. I'm a midwifery student, very interested in nutrition and food.

  8. If you end up moving your blog to a new website, the easiest way to manage your rss feed is through feedburner (imo). also, good luck with the eating of school lunches for a whole year! that sounds pretty tough to me.

  9. Thanks for your comments. The RSS is set to "Full." I think it was just one person with an issue.
